Forced to take it I am a nurse. They aren’t super effective honestly. Most people who get the flu end up getting a different strain than what is in the shot. They get it wrong practically every year. It scares me a little bc I don’t know what all is in it and I’m blindly trusting what they are forcing me to put in my body. But at the same time I feel differently about other vaccines. Many are necessary to prevent re-emergence of certain illnesses

EVERYONE GET A FLU SHOT. When I was in elementary school, nobody got vaccines and everyone went to school sick. One kid who didn’t get a vaccine got a bad case of the flu, and ended up passing away from it. He was in my sister’s third grade class, and died when he was 8. Flu vaccines sometimes give mild flu symptoms or a milder case of the flu, but in the end, it’s better to get a mild case and deal with needles than get a horrible, worse flu that could be deadly. Vaccines save lives, people.

I’ve never had one, and never had a serious case of the flu 🤷🏼‍♀️ Based on personal experience, no need. But I imagine some people don’t have very strong immune systems and need the vaccination to help adjust their fighting abilities for the disease.

I think the main reason why the flu got so bad this year is because many people didn’t actually get the shot. If not that many people get it then more people are going to get sick.

The flu shot can protect you against the flu. It's not guaranteed, but a little protection is better than none - particularly as it is so deadly this year. So.... why not get it?

I get it when I remember 😂 I got it when I got pregnant though because screw going through that while dealing with pregnancy symptoms too. Dealing with a cold while pregnant was bad enough.

I mean, I’ve never had a flu shot, and I’ve never had the flu, so I personally don’t feel the need for it. But do what’s best for you and your body :)
