Birth Preferences and Baby Bag

I'm starting to discuss birth preferences with my soon-to-be husband. What should we think about? I know that I don't want an epidural and if the baby needs to be taken somewhere for testing or something I'd like my fiance to go with if possible. What else should I plan for? Are there common questions they ask for preferences? I'm a simple person but bad at making quick decisions and I want to have time to think about them and discuss them with my SO.

Also what are some good ideas for a baby bag for the hospital trip?
