Would you accept a used travel system in this situation?

My father in law and his wife have a 5 year old and they want to give us their Britax b-safe/b-agile travel system. I know most car seats expire after 6 years, and that the b-safe car seat was recalled for the chest clip coming loose and being a choking hazard.

I would take it but replace the car seat. Those strollers are high end, and it would save you a ton of money even if you replace one component.

Take the stroller and you can trade the car seat in when a store is having a special and get a discount on a new one. It's definitely not safe to use an expired or recalled seat! My brother gave me a car seat that my niece barely used but it expired last year but I'm holding on to it so I can trade it in. Even if you get a different infant seat it's always nice to have a stroller for when baby is bigger!
