falls

My 7.5mo fell off our King Bed while we were napping. He was playing and then crawled to daddy's side to play on his bedside table and fell. I wasn't in a deep sleep so I heard the tinkering on the table before the fall. He landed on his back and fell pretty hard. I jumped up immediately, picked him up and comforted him and he stopped crying after 30s. We layed back down, he nursed and fell asleep. Does this make me a bad parent. I feel terrible. Has anyone else experienced this? How many times has your LO fallen? did you take them into the doctor?
