Implant or Pill?

Question

what birth control would you suggest? 
i don't know which one i should do, i would like to know some stories about your experience with these ones, i wanna do the implant because its always there and i dont have to worry about taking a pill everyday, but my doctor said it was a really similar hormone as depo,  and the depo made me really depressed. so based on your experiences, or the information, what would y'all suggest? :)

I was a hormonal mess on the implant, and I gained over 50 pounds so I definitely would not recommend it

The implant is very similar to depo, but because it's slow-release, most people have less severe side effects on it.
I personally love my implant, but I don't have a history of negative side effects on birth control.
Perhaps look into other methods if you're concerned about remembering a pill? There are IUDs (scary, I know, but the longest-term method) the patch, the ring...plenty of other options beside just these two.
