Do you think people fear dark skin?

Based on the Nefertiti post, something kind of concerned me. It seems as though some people want to find every excuse as to why she was not dark skinned.

Do you think people fear darker skin and prefer lighter skin?

For example, when a mixed baby is conceived. From my personal experiences be always heard people wondering if the child will be dark or if they will look white (if they are partly white)

I just don’t get it. Every skin tone is beautiful and should be celebrate as beautiful.
