Provera/ missed period

Today is 2-7-18 and expected my period around 2-1-18 and all pregnancy tests are negative. I called my dr and she suggested that I wait 10 days and then I will start taking provera. Anyone have any experience with this?? I had my nexplanon birth control removed 11-21-17 and we gave been TTC ever since. 😔

****edit**** my dr has prescribed the provera medication to get my cycles regulated since I am not currently having cycles. This is NOT the depo provera birth control.
