Getting rid of the pacifier 😬
Hey ladies!!
So we are going on 16 months. At about 15 months we took away the pacifier any time she wasn’t in the crib. And I’m happy to say she has started to hand me the pacifier before she asks to be taken out of the crib.
We want to be completely done with it just from a oral health/ and crutch issue. I’m willing to cold turkey it. But my husband and I have an interesting work situation. I nanny three days a week and bring Violet with me. And I work 2 12 hour shifts on the weekends and my husband wakes up at 4 am and by the time we get our day wrapped up it’s almost 10 pm, so he doesn’t get much sleep as it is.
So the question is: has anyone gradually cut away the nuk a tiny bit a night till only a nub was left?? I know they sell a set that gets smaller, but it’s not the style she takes. Did the baby throw a giant fit-would it be easier to just cold turkey??
Or any tips on how to just grin and bear it? I’ve looked at the monitor throughout the night before and that thing is always in her mouth. I think I’m just gonna need a lot of coffee. Just looking for advice!
Pic because she is just too adorable
