Fwb thing

So I really like this guy but he kinda fucked me over at one point. We were friends then we ended up fucking then after we fucked he was trying to go back with his ex and 3 months later we met up at a concert with my uncle. So I texted him and asked him like what was going on.. & he told me his ex told him to leave him alone to never talk to him again. He added me back on sc and now we sort of talk & last week I went back roading with him and another girl and some guy and when we dropped the girl off he asked me to stay the night with him so I did but we didn’t fuck. So I’m stuck between idk what he’s trying to do and idk what to do myself. But he’s really protective over me too so now I’m kinda finding him like my brother. Idk
