getting back with an ex?

so I have this ex who I still have feelings for and I think they feel the same way. the first time we broke up because we both had some stuff going on and our mental health was shitty and we didn’t get to see each other all that often but we got on amazingly it just wasn’t the right time. do you think it would be a bad idea to get back with them? they said that they felt like if we ever tried again it would be so much better since we’re both in better places? what do you think?

I know a lot of people think getting back into a relationship with your ex is a bad idea, but from what it sounds you took a break to both better yourself, and the feelings remained, and I think now that you’re both in a better place and STILL have those feelings for each other is a wonderful sign. Idk I would say go for it if it feels right and fuck what people say

Honestly, doesn’t sound like there’s anything wrong with this. If you both still have feelings for each other and there were no real problems with the relationship itself, then go for it!

I personally wouldn't bc it didn't work out in the past for a reason so to avoid the problems in the future I would stay away. things happen for a reason though.
