What do you do about the haters?

So my husband’s family is very judgmental and annoying!!! His sisters didn’t really breastfeed or only for very short periods of time! To each their own! 
I worked really hard to be able to breastfeed and have overcome a bunch of hurdles that were in our way. He is 10 weeks today and we are finally getting into our grove! I hope to feed him at least until September and if possible however long he wants. 
Now as I said my bubby’s family is annoying. The other day we went out for dinner and I gave him a bottle at the table. His brother in law asked if that was formula and I said, no breast milk and he made a face and said eww. Whatever I let it go! Now everybody is planning a summer vacation together. I know that, if possible I hope to still be breast feeding at the time. 
If they already reacted like that about breast milk in a bottle how are they going to react about me actually breastfeeding my son? 
I want to be really rude to them once, so they stop bothering me about it!!! 
What do you all do about the negative people in your life that criticize your choice to breastfeed???

Tell them to get over it. It’s a natural process and beautiful too! Plus it’s better for the child. My personal opinion is that it shouldn’t matter as long as you’re not just whipping out a boob. At least trying to be a little modest and there shouldn’t be a problem. If they still can’t stand it that’s their own problem and they can get over it.

my husbans father and his step mother are against breastfeeding we took my son to introduce him to his pop and while we were there he wanted a feed and so i do what i normally do at home i got my boob out ready to feed him and as soon as my mother-in-law saw i was going to feed him she said let me show you to a bedroom my husband turned around and said to his step mum no shes fine there then his father had the audacity to say "i dont think she should be feeding infront of your daughter because its not normal" i said how is breasfeeding not normal its the most natural thing in the world aside from childbirth then my husband grab our daughter and we left after that because we were both so angry and disgusted that they would turn around and say that

You ignore them. Yes, breast milk is technically a body fluid. I personally couldn't get myself to taste it even though it came from me and I fed it to my child. However, my husband has tried it. Perhaps your husband's family being exposed to it will open their minds. If they choose to be close minded about it, let me be. Just know that you are giving your child the best that can offer, as it's more easily digested and boosts baby's immunity.  You don't have to flaunt it or rub their faces in it.

Ahhhhh the formula bullies.  Yeah I have them my husband and mil to be exact.   When I had my littlest I simply told them formula would not be going into this child.  I do not have anything against it as I have used it on my older 4 children but always at someone else's suggestions. Until I deem this a necessity it will not be happening.  Simply put with the midwife, multiple nurses and the transport guy at the hospital I told them if they utter the word formula I will cut their tongues out.

In your case the next time someone made a comment I would simply say "when you start feeding and supporting my child you can make a decision until then please keep your opinions to yourself". That way you are getting your point across and telling them to fuck off in the nicest possible way

I’d be rude about it, but that’s just me 🤣 My MIL thinks it’s weird to breastfeed past one year old, but my LO is 10 months and I probably won’t be stopping in 2 months because she’s a boob addict and she seeks comfort in it. And I know my MIL will have something to say. You need to talk to your husband and see how he feels about it and maybe he can talk to his family and get them to stop and maybe understand? I was always nervous to breastfeed in front of my husbands family and my husband was like just pull the boob out it doesn’t matter!! 😂

I don’t have many of those people around me and I use a cover when I nurse but the couple of times when someone said something like you’re still doing that?? Or told me that I should wean her (she’s 11 month) I just said how is what I do with my boobs any of your business?

Ummm, who cares!?! I wouldn’t give a crap about what ANYONE says about me feeding my baby! If they have a problem with it they can keep quiet. That baby is your responsibility and you should do what you feel is best for the baby. Don’t worry about haters. Smile and flop out a boobie!

I really wouldn't give two shits on their feelings or thoughts on breast feeding. It is about what is best for your baby not them.
