1st time preggers🤰🏼over here and scared of needles 💉 Any tips??

I have my first doctors appointment this coming week for blood work and I’m so nervous... hoping all checks out ok with baby and the needle part. I pass out every single time I have ever had a shot or needed to take blood out. Any other mommas with same fear have any tips?? 😆💉🙏🏼❤️

you kinda have to get used to it. From all the blood draws to hospital IVs and epidurals....I felt like a pin cushion my whole pregnancy. 
especially for the GD testing.

Breathe, let them know you have a bad time with needles and don’t watch.

Just tell them in advance, probably don't watch.. I'm not much use lol. My hubby hates them and I tell him to suck it up and go with him and chat away so he's a bit distracted 😅. Forgot when we had my daughters 1y shots and he held her, he did awesome! Soon as we left he took a huge breath and told me to praise him 😂. I felt bad, I got him a treat after 😅.

Close your eyes when they do it and tell them in advance.
Take music if you need a distraction

I’m scared to needles too but kinda just comes with the territory. I never look at the needle or watch them at all

the first few times I had a friend or husband hold my hand. 
then I just made sure to not look at any of it and face away.

I was the same exact way! After getting poked a certain amount of times you get used to it. Just look away when they do it, have them talk to you during the blood draw and be sure to drink tons of water before you go!
