Does anyone else feel annoyed when people use overly fancy words for no reason?

I know this is kind of stupid but I was just thinking that a pet peeve of mine is people who use unnecessarily fancy words. I don’t mind people who use a wide and extended vocabulary I myself would say I like using a wide range of vocabulary and “bigger” words at times but I also find it slightly irritating when people go out of their way to replace a word with an overly fancy word that most people are unfamiliar with or that just doesn’t really fit the conversation or context. I feel like a lot of people who do this are usually people who act like the are more superior than everyone else so maybe that’s more so what irritates me about it, I don’t know.
