what is so romantic about these picture gifts?

I'm talking about those "x's love for you is so big it's reached y!" if my SO gave this to me I would be like, so you had a bunch of strangers do all the work for this gift for you and now I have an album of photos from random places that don't really mean anything to me that I have to store somewhere? cooooool. Can someone who received this and loved it explain why it's romantic? I would much rasther have a steak dinner tbh
