When to introduce formula?

Hi All! My little one is a month and a half old. I have been breastfeeding and started pumping a couple weeks ago to build my supply for when I return to work the end of March. She has no problem with latching and with the bottle. I want to introduce formula in the beginning of March so she gets use to the taste. Should I have any concerns with this plan?

I went back to work and bought a pack of ready made formula just in case something would happen, but honestly I think I'll never end up needing it. I had about 12 bags in my freezer (2oz each) but we didn't need to touch them today. I pumped twice on Friday, Saturday and Sunday and that was plenty for today, then during work today o pumped three times and have enough for like 3 days. I have a good supply so it could have something to do with that, but you might not end up having to worry about it as long as you keep your supply up!

I had to switch eventually with both of my kids when I went back to work. I just couldn’t keep up my supply by pumping at work. I actually mixed breast milk and formula and over time added less and less breast milk. Best wishes with your plan!
