What is this?

Pretty close to a month ago I noticed a puffy, itchy patch of skin on my pubic area close to my vagina. Since then it’s become pinkish, flaky and spread slightly in size. At one point it was almost scaly looking and I don’t know what this is!😰

*Side note: I was diagnosed with the type 1 herpes virus and had my first outbreak less than a month before I noticed this but nothing that I’ve read lists anything like this as a symptom of herpes and I’m clean for everything else. Can anyone tell me what this is?😭

**UPDATE: I went to my gyno who examined it and she said she has no idea what it is but that it’s likely a skin condition, NOT an STI/STD🙌🏼
