Am I Doing This Right?
Long story short: We were exclusively pumping for a few reasons. Those reasons have been fixed and we decided to try exclusively breast feeding instead.
Now the question! Am I doing this right?
When we were exclusively pumping, I pumped 2-3oz every two hours and she ate all of it (anywhere from 24-30oz daily).
Now that we're breastfeeding, I'm letting her lead when she's hungry. Now she's eating every four hours (I have no idea how much). She eats anywhere from 5-20min per boob (tho I have to fight her to take the second boob sometimes) and I'm currently not pumping at all (hoping my boobs will adjust to how much she needs - tho right now they're pouring out milk and get very, very hard by the time she wants to eat). Afterwards my boobs are softer than when I started but still harder than when I was pumping all the time. She's not acting hungry between feeds and seems to sleep a little more soundly and will refuse the boob if I try to give it to her before she wants it.
So am I doing this right? I'd love advice from you mamas who've gone through this! FTM here who has no clue what she's supposed to be doing...
+++Edit+++ She's 2.5weeks old and is currently past her birth weight (due to exclusively pumping). We just started this EBF journey yesterday.
