When did you first see your doctor?

I just got my BFP yesterday!!  I wasn’t expecting to conceive our first cycle trying so I’m feeling a bit unprepared (although do you ever feel fully prepared? :-) ).
I called my pcp to set up an appointment and do blood work and the woman at the front desk said to just go get lab work and dismissed me.  I’m currently searching for an OB but in the meantime I’m not sure what to do.  Did you go to your primary care doctor early or just wait to see your ob at the standard 8 weeks?  Thanks!!!

I’ll be one day short of 11 weeks at my first apt. When I called they asked my LMP and gave me that date. I didn’t really have a say which is fine - I know they don’t really do anything that early anyways.

I didn’t call my PCP I just called my OB and made an appt- their policy is 8-10 weeks   I go in next week where I’ll be 8w3d

Each ob is different. When you find one they’ll tell you when to come in. I called mine at 3 weeks and 4 Days and they didn’t want to see me until 7 weeks 4 Days. Some people go at 6, some go at 12.

I didn't even go to my pcp. I called my my OB and they made an appointment for me when I was 8 to 10 weeks along (that's the doctor policy). My OB doesn't really see before that time frame and I'm high risk. I had bloodwork done, got an ultrasound done at 7 weeks and talked to the nurse almost weekly because I'm high risk. I did not go see the OB until I was 11 weeks.

Never saw a primary care dr. Called my OBs office when I got my BFP. They asked the date of my LMP and scheduled me an appointment for 7 weeks. I never had to have blood work or anything like that to determine my levels. At the first appointment they did a urine test and a dating scan and sent me for my baseline blood work.
