black specs in boyfriends sperm

so after me and my boyfriend were done having sex he passed me the condom to throw away, and there were a bunch of tiny black specs floating all in the sperm.... I looked it up it says may be due to infection and I'm freaking out..... I didn't anything to him yet. any advice besides making an appointment ?? Has this happened to anyone ?
