Did you have a third trimester ultrasound?

My OB said next week they’ll check for Group B Strep and she’ll also do a quick ultrasound to check the baby’s position and stuff. I am just curious how many people had another ultrasound around 36/37 weeks!

I did with my first, not with my second. It totally spends on your OB. My first OB did it to check positioning, my second, said that she could just feel the baby’s head down there during my 36 week exam, so there was no need to do another ultrasound

I had an emergency one around 37 weeks with my first. We’ve since moved and my new doctor orders a third ultrasound at 30 weeks for all of her patients

Yes, mine does a quick one at 36 weeks also to confirm baby’s position.

I had one in the beginning of my third tri, but only because little girl was uncooperative with the first anatomy scan at 20 weeks and wouldn’t let the tech get all of the pics of her heart lol

I didn't. but my midwife/midwives check with their hands the position.
the one midwife barely pushes, and instantly knows where everything is.

OB does one at 32 weeks

I was originally only supposed to have 2. My insurance only covers dating scan and anatomy scan unless more are necessary. So since I've been measuring small, they had me do a growth scan at 32 weeks. Baby is great but her abdomen is measuring a bit smaller. So I get to have a 4th ultrasound done at 36 weeks to see if shes growing or if we'll have to induce early.

I had a growth scan at 34 weeks but that’s because I was measuring small otherwise I wouldn’t have got a ultrasound in my third trimester.

nope. had one at 13, and one at 20. they said no more unless they are concerned.

I voted no but then I remembered I did 😳 it was not a routine one though. My office only does a dating scan and an anatomy scan, but I ended up in the hospital with high BP two days before I went into labor and they did a scan to make sure baby was ok. So technically I did.
