How to correct feed-to-sleep?

Question

LO just turned 4 month. She has been breasfed to sleep almost every night since 2 month old. Now even need my breast for naps! I just start sleep training. Does anyone have any suggestions how to break this? I really want her to learn self soothe! She refuses all dummies.

We just corrected this problem this week. We ended up having to do sleep training/ cry it out. It worked like magic though. Only took 3 days and now he takes 90 min naps and sleeps 11 hours at night. Before that he was constantly up wanting to be fed to fall back asleep

I bought a little lullaby toy. A brand called Riff Raff and co
I would play the music in the background while she fed to sleep. Just for a day or two.
Then moved to just cuddling/rocking with the music, it might take a little longer at first but in a few days she got it!
Now I put her in the bed for a sleep and play the music and stroke her head and rub her belly and   She’s starting to settle herself with just the little lullaby toy. 😊

Yep! Not so much feed to sleep, but rock and cuddle until 100% asleep and even then it’s hard to put her in her cot as she wakes up so easily.

Started sleep training following Abbey’s suggestions two days ago.Fed to sleep at night but tried to rock to sleep for naps. I used ocean waves crashing white noise instead of lullaby as background noise. Worked alright. Day 3 today, just put her down sleepy with white noise on, left room for 10 minutes. Went back in, she was sucking her thumb hard for comfort, eyes closed. Left room and went in after 5 minutes, she was asleep already, thumb out. I’ll wait and see if she will turn to sucking finger instead. That will be another problem.
