Hip/joint pain while sleeping? Mattress topper?

Does anyone use a mattress topper? Has it helped alleviate the uncomfortableness at night at all?

We have a topper and a memory foam mattress, but it didn't help me at all. I started using two microbead pillows, one under bump and the other behind my back, to prop me up and that has helped. I found pregnancy and v pillows too bulky and restrictive.

We added a 3in memory foam topper to our bed. It helps some but now it's really hard for me to get in and out of the bed because it's so tall!  Strangely what has been the most comfortable to me has been a really thick comforter that we have.  I can twist and mush it to support where I need it.

I struggled with my memory foam bed, was too firm. The couch can sometimes be my best option but I started to struggle with that too. I'm now sleeping on our older spring mattress and got a cheap foam topper at Wal-Mart. I also put a slimmer pillow down underneath my back to my hips and it seems to help a bit. The softer and cushier the bed the better.

So I made my husband and I get a new mattress. My mattress that I was always used to sleeping on was medium with a mattress topper. My husbands was rock hard. His was a king mine was a queen. So his was in our master bedroom. Well when I got pregnant I said no way can I subject myself to this terrible feeling. We got a soft mattress that has foam and a topper. I forget the name. But now that I'm 37 weeks it's so hard to get in and out of the bed Bc it's too soft. FTM problems!
