Opk newbie!

I’m on day 2 of my period. When should I start using them? This is my first time and my opk kit of 50 ovulation/20 pregnancy strips are arriving tomorrow in the mail.

Times to take them?

How many per day?

Ttc baby #2 for almost a year so any inspirational stories using opk please let me know (my first I got lucky and conceived so easy)

Also I would love to sway towards a girl. Obviously I just want another healthy baby but if shooting for girl how and when do u BD going off the opk strips? I might add..I’m irregular on my cycles so this is why I’m finally giving this a try since I don’t know my fertile week or ovulation day and I’m tired of depending on this app alone
