Is it okay to dip babies pacifier in alcohol?

I just had a random thought. I was thinking how my husband tells me that it’s okay to dip my infants pacifier in vodka to help him sleep or if he is cranky. Now I would never ever do this and I don’t agree with him. But I am curious of how many of today’s moms would agree with this old advice.

I dipped my finger in whiskey and rubbed it on my daughters guns a few times to help teething. But wouldn’t put it on her paci. And never vodka.

So it was a wife's tale. It's actually for.teething, and peppermint alcohol for cholic. But so many babies have allergies and got.sick that it was fully disproved as helpful. Probably why I still  prefer peppermint snaps for my shots lol.

Vodka no... Whiskey or Brandy if rubbed on the gums yes and only a little bit. My grandmothers use to do this to my parents and my parents did it to me and my brother and we all turned out pretty normal... It's fine but they do make baby oral gel so that's a little more common than straight boos!
