I like my guy best friend but..

I have developed feelings for my close guy friend. I never expected myself to gain feelings because we have a great friendship that we built over the last couple of months. He has helped me cope with my depression and he’s always there for me. But... he met someone and he really likes her. I was working up the courage to tell him when I found out. I’m genuinely happy for him because he deserves happiness.

I just want him to be happy with me. Any advice? I’m distancing myself so I lose the feelings. I’m not a messy bitch.
