She doesn’t wanna go home?!?

So I have started watching my cousins kids because their home situation is a little crazy. My moms already watching the oldest cuz she was sleeping in the hatch trunk of the car when the dad went out on the paper route. This was going on during school nights and she’s failing 1st grade.

Well I have started keeping the other 3 so mom can sleep when she gets home in the mornings and dad is now working 1st shift. The oldest that I am watching says she wants to stay with me because mommy and daddy are mean and she hates them. I don’t really know what to do. My cousins would let her just stay with me. But I don’t know if that’s a good idea. She’s only 4 and so impressionable right now.

Does anyone have any advise? I don’t wanna play mom in this, (so don’t go yelling at me saying I can’t just take the kid). But At the same time.... I know the situation and .... well yeah :/
