Hi Lynn, you start by getting recommendations and, if you have infertility coverage, figuring out what doctors are covered on your plan.
You'll probably have to shell out several hundred dollars for consultations so you can interview and learn about any potential doctors. I don't know where you live, but the average seems to be about $2-300. This is really important in my opinion because they all have different approaches, theories, and bedside manners, etc. You'll be going to the clinic lots of times so you'll want to make sure the doctor and the environment, office staff, etc. are ones you'll be comfortable with. I initially made the mistake of going with the first one I had a consultation with before realizing they were definitely not a good fit. Then I had consultations with others. You'll learn a lot from each too so you can take that with you to the next, if you need to
