My boyfriend thinks that being called cute is an insult rather than a compliment when I say “You look so cute right now.” What do y’all think?

It's situational. If my boyfriend walked out in a suit and I called him cute, it would sound sarcastic and like an insult..if he bought me flowers and told me sweet nothings, I'd tell him he's cute, as a compliment. :)

Kittens and puppies are cute. Guys tend to want to be manly and sexy. This is just my experience lol. Teasing with cute can be fun but some might see it differently.
