Chauvinistic pigs

I have now been an auto racer for three years now. This past weekend was my first experience with people in the leadership group that I am a part of being chauvinistic pigs. The racing industry as a whole is mostly male and those of us who are in it that are not male take the brunt of how rude and disgusting the men can be. I was spoken to like I was a child and demanded to do something. Never in my life has anyone ever spoken to me this way. My husband was absolutely irate over the way this guy spoke to me. He told me to fix something that was way out of his jurisdiction and was in the jurisdiction that I am in charge of. When I asked why, he told me just do it and don’t ask questions. He continually tried to speak over me and when I finally stopped speaking, he said “good girl “. This type of behavior should not be tolerated nor excepted! He came back a few minutes later and gave the most half assed apology I think I’ve ever heard in my entire life. I do not take it as an actual apology and will not until he genuinely apologizes.
