when to start the baby room?

I'm 18 weeks pregnant and wondering when to start the babies room? we have a few things to clear out first which we will do in the next couple of weeks but is it too soon to start getting things organized?

I started it at 29-30ish weeks but I took time off of work so my days literally consisted of baby room. I figured the earlier I start it the less stressed I’ll be! It took me 4 days, painting, moving baby things around, putting up the crib, and cleaning the boys’ junk and moving it to their other room! Lol. I was so relieved! Still need to put up drywall on the one wall by the crib but she’s pretty much done!

I'd say start it before you get much bigger. Once you start getting fatigued and your back starts hurting, you'll wish you'd done the big stuff earlier. Maybe keep the small stuff until later so you can nest comfortably.

were going to start buying things for the nursery after march 28th, when we find out the sex of the baby. ill be 20 weeks by then. I'm 14 weeks on Wednesday.

We started a few weeks ago. We painted and got most of the furniture all set up. We don’t know the baby’s gender but it’s a neutral so far. I’m 17 weeks. We also have a lot going on...my husband is finishing his masters before the baby is born so he wanted to get a jump on it. It might be a little early but that’s okay we are excited!

Nope not too early. We slowly started at 24 weeks and just finished everything at 32 weeks and I'm exhausted. I don't know if I would have done it earlier... but I'm really glad it's done and now I can focus on other last minute things to do before the baby arrives.

I would say just to gradually do it. That’s what I’m going to do. I don’t want to get everything at once. I want to look around and shop, but I want it to be done no later than a month before the baby’s due.

I’m 17 weeks currently and we’re gonna start cleaning out the extra bedroom next weekend . We have a lot of excited family members who buy our little princess stuff so i wanna be able to start to set it up . Won’t get most of the big stuff until the baby shower though which will be around 32 weeks
