Long distance love💕

I am currently in a 2-year long distance relationship. I'm very happy in I relationship, and we seem to have good communication... So I thought. during one of our monthly visits I saw a girl message him:"gm😘😘". when he realize I saw it, he tried to change the subject. later after we talked , & put the idea of cheating out of the equation , I realized that maybe I wasn't giving him enough attention, and closer class meet a girl that was closer to him was able to make him feel wanted or something. my question is what should I do to show him that I appreciate him and to keep our relationship exciting even though we live 8 hours away?
