low platelets

hey all. I don't remember my numbers exactly but at my 9 week appointment they told me my platelets were low and I needed to get tested again because they needed to keep an eye on it. I just went in today (13 weeks) to get that tested along with some other tests because I'm having kidney and joint pain that makes it hard for me to walk or carry a bag of fast food in the house, when I'm normally pretty athletic. they ran the tests and gave me partial results but said they need to confirm things with the doctor and will get ahold of me tomorrow but to go to the hospital if my pain gets worse. But they did say im most likely getting prescribed antibiotics and that my platelets had dropped even more but didn't give me the number and set up an appointment with a specialist, but I'm impatient and started googling and now I'm freaking out. have any of you been through this?
