Breast Milk on Incision?

Hey ladies. I was just curious... Has anyone ever put their breast milk on their incision? A lactation nurse encouraged it today. (PP 5 days) I realize all the wonderful properties boobie juice holds; that was just a little beyond for me! LOL! Let me know if you've had past experiences! Thanks!

I'm pretty crunchy. And I would never ever do that. You're told to keep the incision clean and dry. A lactation consultant isn't a surgeon. She needs to stay in her lane.

A nurse recommended for me to put colostrum on my newborns rashes and scratches which seemed to actual work.

Midwife said to me if baby gets icky eyes breast milk can be used to clean them, my little one had a icky eye I tried it and it all cleared up. Some else said about using breast milk if baby gets nappy rash once baby is clean apply milk and allow to dry. So guessing giving it a go on the incision would be a gentle option compared to some lotions.

I've heard breast milk is good for rashes for mom and baby, and good to rub on cracked nipples - I've been doing that

I've actually heard about this before! I don't know that I would try it... But I have heard about it lol

Yes I've done that. Also used it for my baby's diaper rash
