How do you and your spouse manage money? Do you think it's easier to have a joint account, separate, or both? feel free to explain in the comments.

I never recommend joint accounts. A friend had an amazing marriage, but one day she woke up to find out he took all the money from their account and left. It shocked us all.

We pool our rent/bill money into one joint account and set aside a monthly allowance for food and petrol. The rest is ours in our own separate accounts. Works for us x

we have a few joint accounts. All checks go into one, then are dispersed. My husband and I are pretty much the same when it comes to money and have an agreement regarding spending. Spend whatever you'd like and if it's over $500, it needs to be discuss with the other. Works for us 😊

my mom had a joint account with her husband........... i won’t even explain how badly that went. would never do joint to be honest

We have separate accounts but pay all our bills with whatever lol. He is the only one working as i quit my job when I got pregnant . Be switching all my vehicle payments over and stuff we decided wasn’t worth a joint account . So we just transfer money and take out what we need for other stuff 🤷‍♀️
