Boyfriend doesnt like the “cutesy stuff”

My boyfriend and I have been together for 6months we met on tinder so have only been really “officially” together for 3 but we’ve basically been a thing since the first few weeks of talking. We are in a long distance relationship and I try to go down and see him as much as possible (he can’t come down to me at the moment due to work commitments which I understand and we are on the same page about etc).

However the last week he’s been a bit off not calling me baby and being all lovey dovey which I love. He told me today he wants me to back off with it a bit as it’s just not him and well me being me is quite upset and yeah, he also told me he doesn’t miss me when I’m away from him and i know he loves me etc etc, I just want to know that people have the same situation as me , I love him so much and he is my number 1 who is always there for me but this kinda just upset me and I know I can be over whelming with my affection but it’s just because I love it and just want to receive it back.

I’m not sure the point of this post really, i just needed to get how I felt off my chest and to know that I’m not the only one with a not so overly lovey dovey partner. (Both nearly 20)
