Nursery?

So my husband and I want our baby in a bassinet next to us when she is born and until she is 6 months old... when did you start using your nursery? You think 6 months is to early or late?? I’m just very worried what if i sleep in and she is crying in the nursery and i dont hear her :( being a first time mom is hard (lol)

Mine is turning 1 next week & he's still in our room. The nursery is all ready for him but I'm still not 🤷🏼

A bassinet will only work for 3-4 months..you can always use a baby monitor so you can hear your baby in the nursery.

We wanted to do this, but most bassinets have a 15lbs weight limit and ours just met it at 4 months. We just moved him to a crib in his own room, but it’s right next to ours and I can still hear him well. I did like having him in our room for those first few months though.

you will hear her trust me. i hear my son's every little sound at night. that being said, it is completely up to you when she goes into her nursery. everyone is different when they do it.  my son will be 4 months march 9th and he is still in the room with us in his bassinet. i am not ready to put him in his room yet. i like the comfort of having him right there. he sleeps through the night and would probably be fine in his crib, i just dont feel comfortable yet. a girl i know put her son in his crib before 3 months and it worked for them. its all about your comfort zone with it. ppl tell me I will know when Im ready to transition him and it definitely hasn't hit yet lol

our nursery is on the other side of the house and I know I'm going to be to tired and trip over everything so we are also doing a basinet in our room, but I plan at nap time to put him in his crib so he gets use to it.

My oldest was in his own room around 5-6 months. He hated his bassinet by then and we didn’t have room for a playpen. We used a monitor and everything was fine.

I think that’s a good amount of time, the first few months you’re going to be so tired that you’re going to sleep so deeply sometimes. I didn’t snore until after I had my son lmao, and there have been a few times where I didn’t even wake up when he was crying in the same room as me and my SO would have to kick me or something, I won’t put my son into a different room probably until 6 months too, he’s 4 months right now
