I want to start birth control and my school's health center will help me (my parents have no clue I am sexually active) get into it. What are the advantages and disadvantages of being on birth control?
I also wanna try feeling my partner's bare inside me and I didn't wanna do it til I feel confident I won't get pregnant.

Nothing is 100% so there is always always a risk but it is a good idea to get on birth control if you are sexually active 
*also keep in mind that it doesn’t prevent stds so be very careful about not using condoms. Even if he’s your boyfriend and you’ve been together forever.

Nothing can or will completely prevent pregnancy, but you can lower the odds by using different methods. 
The pill is great to be in control, but bad if you’re forgetful at all. It has to be taken at the same time every day to be effective. Hormonal methods as a whole can affect your body in different ways, like affecting acne or moods for better or for worse. 
Then, you could add to that protection by using methods such as male or female condoms, spermicide, or the sponge. Spermicide is pretty cool since it doubles as lube, so if you choose to go on the pill AND use another of these methods, you’re very protected against pregnancy.
The more you protect, the better! It’s best to use two different methods at once for extra protection!
