Am I a side chick?

I’m F 16

There’s this guy (M 17) that I really like and he’s really great in a lot of ways. We have such deep conversations and talk all of the time. We flirt a lot, too. The only bad thing is that he goes to another school, and that sucks. He has just taken my breath away, but despite the fact that we have been talking since July, he has refused to hang out. He always makes up excuses not to. Also, whenever I ask about his relationship life, he changes the topic.
