Relationship problems😭

so I met this girl (Renee) on a dating app and we became close friends. then me and (my ex boyfriend now) nick started dating and me and Renee fell apart. So my cousin Lexi met her on the same app and basically instead of dating they were jut using each other for sex and that’s it. now me and nick aren’t dating and Lexi and Renee stopped using each other me and Renee are really close now. we talked about our relationship and we both want to be together but when she wsaw how hurt nick was she just wanted to stay friends and it hurts me because she was part of the reason why i broke up with nick.. what should i do? i really wanna date her :((
