Pain after period is over

I recently had a surgery to remove my colon and ever since then I have had worse period pains. My surgeon found some cysts in my ovaries as well as my breast that we’re spreading. She said that they weren’t ‘important’ but if I started having pain to go in. The cysts have travelled up to my armpit and she prescribed my progestin. My last period lasted 12 days when it usually last 4 days. I wasn’t able to move or do any physical activity just because it hurt so badly. I just want to know if my period is worse because of a UTI or something like that ???
