Painful sex

I have been having sex for a while now but on and off, sort of like once every few months. I am happy with how it is but my only problem is every time I have sex it almost feels like my first time again, which was very painful. Like only when the penis goes in if that makes sense 😂. It’s not a burning pain or anything it just literally feels like I am not big enough. I am a very small person like I have a petite frame and am only 5ft. My partner is 6ft and decent sized down there so I’m wondering if I literally am just very small and it’s just something I will have to deal with or if it’s because the times between sex are so long in between. Has anyone else experienced this or know what I should do to make it less painful? Xx
