I’m a Nanny, who’s having a baby. Help!
I’m just about 29 weeks pregnant, due in May. I work as a nanny for a family with a set of twin 2 year olds and a 7 month old, and I’ve worked here for over a year now.
I’ve always wanted to be a mom and am so excited. I planned my job like this thinking/hoping I would be able to watch my children along with watching other’s.
As the due date gets closer, the family I nanny for tells me they don’t want me bringing my daughter for full days while I’m there. (I work 2-3 days a week, while their grandparents watch on the other days).
Could be the pregnancy hormones, but this really bummed me out almost to the point where I don’t even want to work for them any more. How can they expect me to watch their kids, but find other care for my own? 😭 that would break my heart sending my daughter somewhere else.
Looking for insight or maybe things I can bring up to them to change their mind. ☹️
