possible hearing loss

so my son failed his initial hearing test at the hospital after birth but they said it could just be fluid still in his ears and we have a follow up appointment on the 14th. i wasnt as concerned until we noticed that he doesn't really respond to sound . i talk to him everyday but mostly by touch is when he reacts. he doesn't turm towards sound like my alarms he mostly sleeps through any noise when hes awake he mostly stares. hes very calm and sleeps allot but not sure if that's because he can't hear so its easier to fall asleep or if he just has his dads tendency to sleep alot. i. starting to worry a bit scared of not knowing. i still talk to him in hopes he can hear. i dont know i guess its just a matter of waiting fur his testing.
