Teething pains 😑

Just looking for any advice on how to soothe my son’s teething pains? He’s 4 months old and has been a bit grisly on and off about teething for weeks but last night was something else. He wailed and sobbed so much that he was choking, but was also way overtired which just made him worse. He’d start dropping off but every time he yawned it would start him off crying again. We tried cold dummies and a little teething gel but I’m currently snowed in so can’t get any other type of medicine etc. We finally got him to sleep for a few hours straight after walking around the house rocking him and then stroking his head until he fell asleep when he had calmed down a bit, but that wasn’t until 5am and now it’s the afternoon and he’s exhausted, but I’m worried that letting him nap properly now will get us in the same position later.

Any advice or secret tricks I might not know about gratefully received!
