What should I do

I like this guy and my friends say he likes me back. We will call him Jake. People hate him because he's "rude" but when I'm around with all those people say he changes. He's really sweet and funny. Idk what to do because Jake didn't try to get my attention last semester but now it's all he does. We go to a Catholic school and we have "prayer sessions" and Jake was standing beside me and held my hand and was swinging and squeezing it. My friend saw and she said we were cute together. But he hasn't asked for my number or insta or snap. Not to mention that a friend of his is also flirty and constantly texting me. I don't want to lead this guy on because we are just friends. And because I like Jake. This semester is not what I thought it would be.
