so things didn't go quite as i'd planned. 18th feb I went to triage for reduced movements, as he is a very placid child this was my fourth time going to triage for check ups as my midwife was adamant that I always get checked on 'slow' days. well I got there got put on the monitor... all good. then not so good, his heartrate dropped to 70-80 for about a minute then popped back up. my heart dropped. i was going to be prepped for a section but his heartrate didn't slow again so I was kept for observations and at about 11pm was induced and given a sweep. things progressed quite quickly from there 7hours of contractions 3mins apart suddenly everything stops and I'm at 3cm dialated. second day 6hours stop. and it continued like that all the while being hoo

ked up to the monitor for his wellbeing (he was happy and normal) after 5 days of constant on and off labour I was sent down to the delivery room and pumped full of pitocin to really get things going. about 4 hours in people start rushing in because his heartrate is dropping and panic sets in. fortunately I was at just under 10cm dialated. was advised not to push but tbh I wasn't going to wait around as his heartrate was about 100bpm. I was given the all clear to push. I decided to give it hell and within 5mins he was born. 2nd degree tear and born at 6lbs 4 and half oz on the 23rd feb hunter isaac cam7e into the world healthy and happy. my March baby was as impatient as I was though scariest moment of my life also the happiest. my rainbow baby is finally here πŸ’™πŸ˜
