Is this wrong to do to a child?
I just watched a video of someone I know on Facebook piercing their child’s ears. Now I don’t mind a kid getting their ears pierced if they want it done, that’s the kids choice. The thing that blew my mind was they had their daughter, who looks about 4, on their kitchen counter, using a piercing gun from Sally’s and it looked as if there was no sterilization or anything. She immediately jerked and started crying and the piercer hugged the little girl. I would say this was okay if the parent was a piercer but from the looks of things they were just winging it. 1) why do that to a child? If she wants her ears pierced take her to a place that does them professionally. 2) why would you post that on Facebook? I’m usually one who says it’s up to the parent but that is really messed up. As hard as the little girl jerked when they pierced her ear it could’ve messed up the hole pretty bad. I may be overreacting but I find the whole thing a little wrong and ignorant.
