Worst induction story ever 🙄

Spring

Went in to get induced at 8:30 pm the night before my due date. Three rounds of cervadil, barely dilated to 2 cm. So did one behind my cervix to see if that would kickstart anything. Still nothing. Few hours later after some walking and food my dr comes in (after i ask for a csection bc I’ve been there for 24 hours at this point) she tells me i can’t have a csection bc there’s not an OR available (which i think is bull bc anytime a mom is in labor there’s an OR available for emergency csections) but she could either break my water or send me home (when I’m already having contractions 4-5 minutes apart and dilated) and schedule me a csection for the next day. I told her to break my water bc i didn’t want to be sent home with contractions and being dilated. She broke my water and baby boy had passed meconium in the amniotic fluid. She should have done a csection but she didn’t. Instead i was started on pitocin to help with progressing my labor. 24 hours and two bags of pitocin later, I’m at 7 cm. Again, asked for a csection. Was told i couldn’t get one bc of no OR available. My son sat in his meconium and amniotic fluid for 29 hours breathing it in. I became septic from it being in my body for so long and spiked a 104 degree fever. Finally got to 10 cm and pushed for 2 hours before baby boy made his arrival. My son ended up having lung issues and would quit breathing, had a seizure, and a small stroke. According to neurologists they’re 99% sure it’s because my dr didn’t perform a csection at any time given the issues that happened with him and he was inside me when i had that high of a fever. He sat in the NICU for a week before finally getting to come home. He’s now a week away from being 2 months old and is the happiest baby I’ve ever met. He’s hitting all of the milestones a 2 month old should be, so here’s to hoping my drs negligence doesn’t cause my baby to have any long term effects 🤞🏻 but everyone meet Christopher Jase Hager who was born on 01/11/2018 at 1:11 pm weighing 9 lb 3 oz and 21 inches long ❤️❤️
