Could I do a vbac??

My son is 9 months old and I just found out today that I am 3 weeks pregnant. Could I do a vbac this time or do I have to have another c section???

Some doctors might have different standards but I was told to wait 18 months before getting pregnant again. I’ve also heard 18 months between deliveries so you might be fine. I would get a second opinion if the first OB you asks says they won’t let you try for a vbac.

If you had a vertical incision with your first c section, all following births will have to be c section as well. But if your incision was horizontal, vbac is possible as long as your uterus and abs healed well enough

You can definitely try for one if thinks have healed well from your c section. I’d definitely find a doctor who won’t just tolerate a vbac, but one who will 100% support it. Was he your first? They say vbac is high after 1 section I tried after 2 had consultant behind me but midwife failed to see my scar was tearing ended up emergency c section that was 8 month ago and I’m currently 5 month preg and gutted this will have to be a planned c section

No dr will do a vbac if you had a classical c section. Vertical incision on the uterus. If you had low transverse c section( bikini line) you should be able to have a vbac. Find an ob that is open to the idea if you are passionate about it.

Was that your first c section? If so more chance of vbac they will just monitor u more watch for tearing. I tried v back 7 month ago after 2 c sections but started to tear and I’m currently 3 month preg so be a c section for me
