Did you count the two weeks prior to ovulation in how far along you are?

I just read that the first day of your last cycle is actually the start of the pregnancy and that we only carry baby for 38 weeks... sometimes i see women post that they are 2 weeks pregnant so I’m just confused. Technically you wouldn’t be one or two weeks pregnant... heck you wouldn’t even be 3 weeks pregnant.... because you really wouldn’t know until week 4 at earliest, right?

You use LMP initially - but once you have first ultrasound then they use the scan as it’s more accurate
Nobody can be 2 weeks pregnant because they wouldn’t know then UNLESS they’re talking about two weeks since ovulation in which case they’re still “4 weeks” 
It’s confusing for some but just go off what your doc says - because at the end of the day that’s the date they’ll use!

Doctors go by lmp and ultrasound, so idk what some people mean when they say 2 weeks pregnant, either. 🙄

I did not because at my first appointment I was 4 weeks, but if I went off my LMP I would’ve been 8 weeks.

You usually end up not even going by LMP date anyway unless it’s within a week of it. Due date is usually changed when they measure the baby at first ultrasound. My first daughter I thought I was 11 weeks and I was only 9 weeks. Second daughter though it was spot on with my LMP date. You’re supposed to use the LMP date first though.

First day of last menstrual period is how they start counting for pregnancy, technically you aren't pregnant then. You are right usually the 4 week mark is when you would know, or at earliest 3+ weeks.
